#PaintTipTuesday [011]

As much as we love the snow, it’s hard not to dream of a warm summer day, the breeze gently passing at the right moment, as you lounge on your favorite terrace with a cold drink in your hand.

This week, #PaintTipTuesday brings you some favorite photos from our Social Media Marketing Manager’s (Sagan!) Terrace board on her Pinterest Page. If you’re looking for ideas to give your terrace (or patio or back deck) a fresh look – adding a color-pop with paint or fabrics is easy as 1-2-3. Some of our favorites include turquoise, deep yellow, and soft blues along with many, many plants!

If you’re a city dweller it’s nice to surround your outdoor space with plants in order to give you a breath of fresh air in your concrete jungle. If you’re lucky to have your own backyard or garden, well, lucky you. Keep in mind that your outdoor space can be your sanctuary and your favorite ”room” in the house with just a few tweeks here and there.

Happy creating!

Will you stick to your New Years Resolutions this year?

Every New Year we resolve to take better care of our bodies, our mental health, and our homes amongst other things. While we may need to make our number one resolution ~ Keep 2015’s NYE Resolution’s ~ we’ve also added to our list the following:

1) Keep 2015’s NYE Resolution’s
2) Organize each room + KEEP it organized always
3) Cross off those design projects we keep saying we’ll do
4) Travel more + let those travels inspire how we view our lives (and maybe our homes!)
5) Donate things we don’t need / use any longer ~ it could make somebody else’s life better rather than sitting on your shelf in a closet.
6) Find more inspiring stories to feature on ItsMoreThanJustPaint.com blog 😉

Recommendations | A Beautiful Room, LLC

Our recent home renovation project required not only a decorator with vision, but someone who could coordinate with the builder and other contractors to make sure that the best materials were incorporated within our budget.  Nina McCarthy of A Beautiful Room, LLC, really came through for us.  During our work day, she was busy locating materials, talking with contractors and keeping us informed.  When we returned home she would organize bills for us, have materials for us to choose from and prepare us for the next steps.  When there were problems, Nina would readily take on the role of trouble-shooter.  A Beautiful Room is so much more than a decorating service.  It’s a full renovation coordinating service!
